VE Day Celebrations and Planning

As the country gears up to celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day, our suppliers have looked at the impact this could potentially have on their ability to deliver to customers in London, particularly around the Westminster area.

There will be many celebrations and ceremonies held across the week commencing 5th May, with road closures being in place on Monday 05th AND Thursday 08th May. Whilst this will have an impact on deliveries within these specific postcode areas, this could also have an impact on deliveries within the surrounding area.

In addition to the celebrations and ceremonies, we are anticipating very high levels of tourism in the Capital during this week, which should be great for trade, however, could cause delays and delivery disruption when sending delivery vehicles into these very busy areas. Equinoxe would advise, to avoid disruptions and potential delivery failures, we would propose customers place larger orders for delivery on either side of the road closures to prevent disappointment.
